If Global Warming is a fact, then why has it been exceedingly colder in the past few years?

It is called cycles, the sun has cycles of sunspots and heat output. During the 90s we were on a rising side of the cycle and things got warmer. Now we have been almost 30 months at the bottom of the cycle and things are getting cold. It only takes a very small alteration of the suns output to make major changes in earths climate. And the funny thing is nobody can predict for real which way the sun is going to go and how long it will stay in the hot or cool phase.
