Why wont my first period start?

omg i felt the EXACT same way im 14 now but when i was 13 i was mad that everyone else in my cl had it except me..but omg this may sound really really weird and freakish but one night i was in my room and i was sitting on my bed and i had this looooong talk with god and i told him how much i wanted my period..and oh my god..i got it the next day!!!!!!! its kinda like that one book called "are you there god its me margaret" but yeah dont worry youll prob get it soon :)
