Is it okay to use a summery bag during other seasons?

I LOVE this coach bag (http://www.polyvore.com/pierre_le-tan_seahorse_tote/thing?id=17696069), but it's pretty expensive to buy unless you're going to use it all the time. So even though it has a really beach-y, summery look, would it be okay if I also used it during other seasons? Or would that be a total fashion don't?
