Why do I still see NatGeo programs talking about radio and television waves reaching other galaxies?

I agree ,..and not only that but if an intelligent life form were to pick up our broad casts they would have to speak any of the languages here on earth , also who,s to say our technologies are even close perhaps they have 5 eyes , 6 nostrils and 9 arms and legs and can only pick up bug frequencies or something ...really burns my britches to hear that N.GEO would suggest this stuff ,..obviously they feel enough people don't do their home work and it still makes for interesting viewing ,..gotta sell them commercials.
