Would you have a scary movie on in front of kids?

This is kind of random, but it is Halloween night and now after 9 PM, so the only people coming around are teens, but I was wondering how many people might watch a really scary movie if the tv is in broad view of little trick-or-treaters. Now I did NOT put on a scary movie tonight because our tv is right by the door, I've been watching comedies tonight. But would you put on something that even a brief scene might scare kids if they saw it? Like the movie Fear was on, and there's a scene with a decapitated doggy, it's a brief but traumatizing scene. It's a good movie but I'm a grown up and I cover my eyes during that part! So would you put on something gory knowing the little ones would see it?
