I met a guy online and we've talked for 3 years. he suddendly stops. whats the deal?

met a guy online that i used to talk to all the time. we text each other or IM. one day the texts and IMs stopped and he wont return any of mine. its been over a month now since we talked. he texted back once and said he was meeting with his boss and he'd get back with me, but he never did. what do you think this means? he claimed that he loved me and it seemed that he did because we chatted everday, any time of day or night. whats really going on and how do i get him outta my head
